I believe it is important to promote puppetry as the serious art form it is, as a medium for self-expression and as a tool for social change. The following are a few events I co-produced to work towards these goals.
- Works for Adults
- Puppets for Pages: A volunteer-fueled campaign to raise awareness about the proposed closings of Pittsburgh’s public libraries.
- Puppets and Pierogis: A weekend of puppet cabaret in the spirit of Bread and Puppet Theater and Great Small Works’ Spaghetti Dinners.
- National Day of Puppetry Grown-up Cabaret: A night of adults-only puppetry.
- Black Sheep Puppet Festival 2008: A ten year running celebration of the art of puppetry.
